I'm Anna , the latest addition to the Egypt-team making my first appearance on the blog :D!
This Wednesday we had our Pub Quiz at Curlers. We had a great turnout with lots of people showing up, tempted by our great prizes (such as a kilo of pasta: every hungry students dream, as well as first class rape alarm for those late Glasgow nights).
It was a close battle between the teams. Five rounds of questions: general knowledge, celebrity breakups, "name that tune", ancient love stories and (the compulsory) sports culminated in triumph for team "Roses are red...". The name competition however was won by the "Sphinxters" for their slightly dirty Egypt-related naming skills.
In the end everyone had a good time, Lydia herself even managed to take home some raffle prizes and the Egypt Expedition is a little step closer to our economic goal.
Our next event will be the Band Night on the 12th of March, so keep your eyes open for that!
